Can I counter sue a private school that is suing me for the total amount of a certificate program that i attended for approximately 2 months and have never received a certificate from?

If you have a cause of action (reason ot sue) against the school, you should counterclaim. Otherwise you may lose the right to sue. You may find that the claim has been sold or assigned.
