Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey
Death threats and harrassment
me and a student at my school have been going back and forth, he has been spreading lies about me and i have been telling everyone he's been cheating on his girlfriend (true), but every time i say anything he threatens to call the police if i do it again, and now he said to me he's actually going to do it once he gets back from his girlfriends house in england (they met on a cruise), and and is saying he's going to send the police and my parents a picture of a ''death threat'' i made while chatting with him on world of warcraft, an online game, 3 months ago, while he was impersonating a fellow student, and promptly after i said i wasnt serious about it. if he does call the cops and give them this information, what would they do?

You need to hire a criminal attorney. Do not speak to anyone about this, remain silient. I can discuss further.
Re: Death threats and harrassment
A threat made as part of a game might not be taken as a criminal act. It is a matter of all the facts and circumstances. I would suggest that you consult with an attorney in his or her office.

They could just arrest you or they could question you. Either way, I suggest you get an attorney before doing or saying anything.
