Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey

Dismissed w/o predjudice time limits

I am the defendant. This is a predatory lending/foreclosure case. The judge dismissed w/o predjudice. Is there a time limit on this type of dismissal? (can they come after me two years after they agreed upon a lump sum payment) Even though claim was dismissed, I made an agreement to pay the principal amount on the loan. They accepted payment and now 2 years later they are threatening me with a different amount that is due.

If you made a binding agreement you have no problem. If they deceived you thereby causing you not to pursue your lawsuit the time does not run on the applicable statute of limitations until you become aware of the deception.
