Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey
garnishment of wage
I have to file an objection to a motion to vacate a default judgement. My ex-fionce claims he paid in full and wants me to pay for his lawyer. I am the one who filed for the wage to be garnished and this was his response. What type of lawyer do I hire to help me?

Your preferrence for a lawyer to handle the matter should depend on the underlying dispute. Any NJ lawyer who handles civil suits should be able to oppose the motion. The difference is in what happens next. If it is a family matter, you should look to a matrimonial lawyer. If it is a business matter, I can help.

I practice in Toms River and I have an office on Main Street. Not sure if this is my area of the law or not. If not, I can refer you to a great lawyer that can help you.
