I am involved in a case where the defendant has obtained a new attorney.i just realized,i interview his partner when i was searching for an attorney. does this mean he should recuse himself? the case is in nj

If you had any substantive discussions with a member of the firm, there is a probable conflict of interest. You should raise the matter with opposing counsel. If he/she does not withdraw, you may raise the issue with the judge.
