Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey
In Jan. 2005 I was in an accident with a rental vehicle which did not have my name on the rental. As a result the accident cost $8000 to repair the car. However, I recently found out that the rental company doesn't keep their cars pass a 2 yr period. Although, I have the information continued making payments but, now I would like to find out what I can do so that I can cease payments of this car that they no longer have.

So what if the company doesn't have the car anymore? It was entitled to recover the costs of repair regardless of how long it kept the car. That you weren't able to pay the full amount upfront does not excuse you from paying it at all.
