Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey

judgement limitations

Is there a statute of limitations on judgements in NJ? I MAY have one against me from 29 years ago. Is there any way to anonymously find out if a judgement does exist against me?

Re: judgement limitations

If you think you have a judgment against you, you probably do. And finding out would be easy and anonymous; much easier with an attorney.

Sounds like you could use a little help from an attorney.

If you would like me to assist, please call my office. I am in Hackensack. A half hour consultation will be $75.00. You can then decide how you would like to proceed.

My contact information can be obtained from the links below, just click on the Attorney Profile link. Let my secretary know you found me through LawGuru.

Re: judgement limitations

My recollection is that a judgment has an effecitve life of twenty years.

This is something I would confirm by doing a little research.

So far as determining whether a judgment has been entered against you

I would solve this problem by ordering

a judgment search.

Call me if you like.
