Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey
i loaned some money
i loaned $1000 to a friends daughter. she said she would pay me back at the end of may, when she got her settlement. well now its sept and no payment. she keeps saying oh i just signed the papers, just a few more weeks. i sent her 2 letters asking for the money back. she left me a phone message and said she would start paying me $100 a month in october. that wasnt the agreement, it was supposed to be paid back in one sum. i dont think she is ever going to pay me. i told her you cant change what we agreed on when i wrote her the letter. can i have some one who has legal authority a lawyer or a legal assistant write a letter for me demanding the money back. that might scare her. the money was sent as a western union so i do have a document of how much was loaned. she lives in florida , and i live in new jersey. one thing ..
i have learned my lesson, i am not lending any more money to anyone.

I think a lawyer letter has a small chance of working, some chance. You may want to meet with a lawyer and see what can be done.
Call me if you would like. and NO, please do not lend money to people without being a little bit more careful!
I would be happy to help you.
