parents sue child over money spent raising her

I am 41 and have been estranged from my parents for the last 5 years. Recently they have threatened to sue me for the money they spent raising me. Can they do that? I have no income but my husband does and we jointly own a home. Can they come after my husband's income or my property? I was raised abroad but am now a naturalized US citizen. My parents are not US citizens and they live abroad.
