Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey
I have received a hold harmless agreement from my child's school in reference to the use of my child's photograph in a yearbook, school newspaper, local newspaper, school website, etc.
The final paragraph of the agreement states that I agree to indemnify, hold harmless, protect and defend the school and their representatives from any and all claims, losses, liabilities, damages, suits, fines, penalties, cost and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, brought or incurred by or on behalf of any person whomsoever or entity whatsoever, arising out of or in any way connected with the said use of the aforementioned photograph by any person or entity.
hat does this mean?

It means that if you sign the agreement and the school is sued because of something having to do with the photograph, you will pay for the suit an anything that the school loses.
So, why would you ever want to sign that agreement. If I understand you correctly, it is the school that wants to use the photo. Why should that ever cost you anything or put you at risk for anything?
