What is the statute of limitation to file a lawsuit agains the state of New Jersey, its Counties and its police departments?

It depends on the basis for the suit. For many things, a Notice of Intention must be filed within 90 days. So, if you think you have a suit against a public body, consult a lawyer quickly.
