Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey

being sued by a friend

An ex boyfriend, who has given me money over the years is angry at me now, and says I owe him all of the money back, and that he is taking me to court. There is no documentation of this money, and I can't pay him back because I am broke. I also just filed chapter 13.Can I be held responsible for this money, if so how would I have to pay it back?

The lawyer handling your bankruptcy case will be able to have the suit dismissed.
