Re: can I be sued personally

It is great that your daughter has decided to work with persons with a disability. As to whether she can be sued -personally- for an injury to the child . . . let just say that no matter what is your chosen vocation, you can be sued. This question is can the person suing you get their day in court? For the most part, an employer will have to defend an employee who is performing their assigned duties at the request of the employer. If the employee deviates so far from her job that she is deemed to have left the control and supervision of the employer, then she is on her own. The best advice for you is to relax and tell your daughter to go forth and do good.
