Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey

Taping my own phone conversations for evidence ?

Is it legal in NJ to tape my own phone conversations for proof of something and provide the tapes to the party whom I need to provide proof? I beleive NJ is a one party concent law so it seems it would be legal. ?? Also could this be used in court if it went that far. Basically it was a verbal comittment made over the phone that was broken.

I believe that in New Jersey, as long as one party consents to the taping, it is okay.

Only one party must consent in NJ. Be sure not to erase any appropriate phone messages.
