Using Some one testimony in a non realted case

I have a complaint against some one in a Theft by deception case. He claimed under oath that he didnt work for the company that he had me give him a check for. Am i able to use a transcript from a prior case to help strengthening by defense.

Absolutely. However, if you indend to have the transcipt itself admitted into evidence, it must have an original certification from the court reporte who transcribed it. Sometimes lawyers will agree to permit a copy to be admitted but you can't expect that courtesy from the other party.
