Theft by deception

What is the statute of limitations on a civil charge of Theft by deception in NJ of a horse given to me? What must be proven to make this charge stand?

I have no idea what statute of limitations will apply to you.

I do suggest that if you have a horse that dont belong to you, and the owner wants it back, that you should talk to the owner. do you feel the owner owes you for caring for the horse?

if you have no claim to the horse, and no claim against the owner (IF you do not) then why do you not return it?

go talk to a lawyer if you are the target of such accusations. you are facing serious problems.
