Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey

truck accident

my stepson had an accident with my newly deceased husbands work truck...he totalled the parked suv ...now the owner of suv has sent me a letter asking for help paying off suv ..her insurance did nirt cover it all...i no financial ties to my deceased husband..the business etc was all in his name ..my cars are in my name etc....does she have legal grounds to go after me??should i call my lawyer?
