Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey
I was just wondering....can I sue my ex-boyfriend for using my credit card and agreeing to pay me back and then never did? Yes, at the time I gave him permission to use the credit card with the understanding that he would pay me back. The credit cards were just in my name.not him. I dont know just wondering.....it is for a rather large amount of money. just wondering. any feedback would be appreciated. thank you

Yes, you can sue him, but you will still need to pay the cards off, even if he does not pay you, to preserve your credit.
First, be sure that you have the card re-issued with a different number. That will prevent any more charges. Then, you can sue. The amount involved will determine what court the suit should be brought in. If less than $3000, you can sue in Small Claims yourself.
