Legal Question in Immigration Law in New Jersey

I myself 33 year home maker and a mother of 3 children. My older one is almost 7 years old( who was born in India) and then 3 yr and 1.5 years old the two younger ones born in US.

My husband is working on L2 so i and my 7 year old on L2 visa. We are living in new jersey for the last 3.5 years.

My problem is with my husband and his abusive nature. I am forced living with him for the sake of my kids as I don't work here and we are not on permanent status. My son is growing big and understand how I am getting abused which I can't tolerate it. In india our problem was even worst and my daughter (she is 3 years old now) was born preemature. She was so very sick in the whole India visit. My husband don't even care of my kids and keep giving me threats, bad words and insulting me. ( he just love his family back in india).they are not safe with him. I am so disturbed and can't even think of anything...

Can I ask for help here in USA cause I don't want to live with an abusive husband anymore and don't want to go back to India with him. I do not have anyone here. I have read about U visa am I eligible for it ? If yes how can i apply for that ? Can I get any help regarding the issue.

Also I am scared if he fight for the children And snatched my children away from me and take them to India. I am not financially strong but a loving mother. Who is agree to any kind of work to earn for my children. I am graduate from india and a responsible person.

Your help will save me and my children's

Hello:

Yes, if done properly, you can make a formal complaint and charges for the U Visa and then you can apply. Also, depending on the situation, you may qualify for the S Visa.
