Legal Question in Immigration Law in New Jersey
Hello, I have a bit of a complicated question. I am a natural born US citizen. 13 years ago I married my sweetheart in El Salvador ( he is a citizen there) I would travel back and forth and I also began the process for my husband to come to USA, unfortunately my miscarriage of our child and other situations made things very difficult and we ended up in divorce, which completely halted the process. We've have kept in touch and ultimately reconnected. I am divorced (2nd time) and he is in the process of his divorce (also 2nd time). I visited him in August 2015 and we decided we love each other very much and want to be together. At this point of our lives we both have one child from our second marriages. I would like to bring him here to NJ ( along with his daughter if possible) but I'm not sure how to go about it since we were already married once and had a petition that hasn't been completed ( I imagine it has been discarded at this point). What can I do for us to be together here in NJ.

You'll most likely have to start the process over again. You can simultaneously petition your husband and stepdaughter. I'd be happy to discuss the process with you in person. My office is in Newark and the consultation is free. We can also do it by phone.
