Legal Question in Immigration Law in New Jersey

Hi, I have changed the employer and my H1B is processed for transfer by the new employer in premium process 2 months back. Till now my case status is RFE (Request For Evidence). The last date for RFE is Feb 11, 2012. As of now my current employer is not having SOW ( Statement of Work) for me. Now only 2 weeks are remaining to submit the RFE. If in case they are unable to submit RFE, how it will affect on my visa status? and is there any other way out to stay back here in US legally? What can be done, pls let me know
