Legal Question in Immigration Law in New Jersey
divorce
Dear Sir / Madam,
My situation :
I have been married to a US citizen since the last two years, and have a three month old daughter with her.
I have filed for my work permit, but have yet to receive my work permit or an interview, and right now I ma not making enough money and am in a tight spot monetarily and my wife is torturing me mentally because I am not able to meet all of her personal needs like a car or new shoes. She is threating me with deportation.
My question : In my situation can I file for a relief under spousal abuse, in case she withdrawns her sponsorship of my applicaton.
Thanks and Regards,

Re: divorce
You may be able to file using that route but it depends on other facts to come to that conclusion. Also, you did not indicate when you filed for your work permit. If you would like our office to assist you, please contact me at 215-922-5354. Good luck!
Re: divorce
Filing a petition based upon abuse may be an option available to you, and I do extensive work in that area. However, there may be better alternatives available to you. If you would like, I suggest that you contact me by email with further details of your situation.
Best wishes.
