Legal Question in Immigration Law in New Jersey

My friend filed an application for CSS amnesty case and got A # on that application.

After some time she was scheduled for Work Permit Interview. She did not get work permit and was asked to bring some documents. After this interview, no further action was taken on this application either by the applicant or by INS at all.

Two years later, in 1997 she got DV Visa Lottery. The lawyer helped her and the whole process was done smoothly. She got green card without any problem.

After another 2/3 years my friend came to know that the application filed early for CSS amnesty was not mentioned/disclosed in the DV VISA LOTTERY application/documents

by the applicant/lawyer and the green card has another/new A # of green card.

Now my friend want to apply for citizenship But afraid that INS may find out old application and deny citizenship or any other problem can come up. What is the solution? What my friend can do to get citizenship without any problem.

Please Please help with real legal advice, solution. Thanks

It will most likely come up at the interview, and it can definitely become an issue for your friend. They will likely allege that she made a material misrepresentation when she applied for her green card, and they may not only deny her naturalization application, but also place her in deportation proceedings to try to revoke her permanent resident status. I highly recommend she consult with an immigration attorney before applying for naturalization. I can assist her. My office is in Newark and the initial consultation is free. My office number is 973-856-6240.
