Green Card for parents of a US citizen

Can a US citizen file I130&I485 simultanious for their partents GC & during the processing of the application, can the parents maintain their current visitior visa status & travel back & forth to home country ( india ).

The parents are presently in the US.

How long does this process take.

You can file simultaneously. However, the visitor visa will no longer be valid at some point after filing. You may have other travel options for them while the green card is process or you may be able to process their green card in their home country. This process is fairly straightforward but there are certainly various options which you should discuss with an immigration attorney. Feel free to call my office with any further questions.
