Legal Question in Immigration Law in New Jersey

H1-B Visa Stamp

Hi, I am an H1-B visa holder since Jan 2004(F1-OPT-H1) and I have it stamped on my passport.I changed my company 5 months ago and transferred my H1 to my new employer.I need to go to my country(turkey) for few days in the next couple months.Should I be able to enter US with my previous visa stamped on my passport(it's valid until Jan 2007)? And also can I go to Canada for a day or two and have it stamped on my passport?I heard something like T26 countries that require additional security clearance which takes months to get,is this true?Is it mandatory to go to your own country to have your visa stamped?thanks for your answers.

Re: H1-B Visa Stamp

You will not be permitted to enter on your old company's stamp if your paystubs and employment letter show your new employer.

You must apply for an advance parole [Form I-131] to assure re-entry into USA at least six weeks prior to your travel abroad. Make sure you have the advance parole in hand prior to leaving USA. Also, nationals of Turkey are required to have a Temporary Resident Visa [TRV] before entering Canada. This may be applied at a Canadian Consulate in the USA with requisite forms, supporting docs and fees.
