Immigration status adjustment

I have adopted a boy last year who is now 11 years old.

Who entered this country as a B1/ B2 visa status on 2001. Currently he does not have any legal status.

What need to be done for his status change.

Re: Immigration status adjustment

First of all, if you adopted him here in the US who brought him into the country on a tourist visa?

Remember that the B1/B2 form that was filled out whereever the child came from is on record and ICE will be taking a look at it to see what information was provided at the time they granted the visa for him to enter the country.

Secondly, where are his birth parents, did they agree to the adoption?

Did they agree for him to come here in 2000/2001?

Lastly, if you are a US citizen then you can apply for his citizenship and provide all the necessary documentation that ICE will want to see such as a copy of his birth certificate, and adoption papers, your pay stubs and W2's etc.
