Legal Question in Immigration Law in New Jersey

Interview and now unemployed

I am a US citizen, and my husband and I have an interview coming up next month. He entered the US on K1 visa, he has his EAD and travel doc, however, I (the sponsor), since filing have lost my job and is receiving unemployment benefits for the past month. I have a 2008 tax return and will have the same $$ earned in 2008 in 2009. What other support documents do I need to prove that he will not be a burden to the gov. (if any). Does the UI benefits count?

We have assets(including house, bank statements, 401 k, stocks)

Thanks for your help

I would strongly recommend that you have a consultation with competent immigration counsel prior to the interview so that an appropriate affidavit of support may be completed and presented at the time of the interview.
