marrying an immigrant

i was born in the us and want to marry my girlfriend of 7 years however i have a criminal record can i help her become legal. She is safe from deportation because she filed for some law that was only for a limited time available

We would have to talk about the criminal record but if you have completed any jail sentence, etc. that was required you should be able to marry her without a problem unless she has a criminal record.

As far as her being "safe" from deportation I'd want you to discuss that with me as well since I'm concerned if that is true.

If you already completed the sentence and have a certified copy of sentence or proof, you have not problem.
