Legal Question in Immigration Law in New Jersey
Medical Treatment in the US
I have a cousin from Poland (though legally a cousin she is more like my sister) who was diagnosed with CML (leukemia). She is in the US now and will be starting treatment soon. She will receive financial assistance for her treatment but will be required to remain in the US at least a year. I need to find out if and how she can have her immediate family (husband and 2 children) come to the US ASAP as she not only will need their support during her treatment, her children will need their mother during this difficult time for the family. She has a visa for a year but doesnt know if she can be without her family for that long. Please advise with any info and thank you all for your time.

options are visitor visas (but cannot work in the U.S. with this type of visa) and humanitarian parole.
