Legal Question in Immigration Law in New Jersey

petition for mother

I have a US born child age 14 living in the USA and would like to know if he can petition for me as I am not a resident of the USA. Is this an option or do I have to wait until he becomes 18 years of age.

You have to wait for him to reach 21 to sponsor you.

Re: petition for mother

Hello Madam: If your child is to petition for you, you must wait until your child turns 21 years old. However, we would be very happy to interview you to see what other options you might have for permanent residency in this country. You can email us with your questions at the email indicated below. We have an office in Newark, Nj.
