question on h1b start date

hi

i applied for my h1 this year on april 1st 2008 under masters quota

got my h1b approved on april 29th 2008 with a start date of oct1st 2008,along with change of status approved

left US on june1st 2008 and reentered on june10th 2008 on F1, and got a new i94 at the airport...

so,is the i94 that i received with my h1b approval,still valid...

i assume my h1b started on oct 1st 2008,based on the response from my university...havent got my h1b stamping yet

i also informed my university about my h1b approval, and they removed me from sevis, and notified INS

that i will be on h1b starting october 1st.2008

my concern is ,was my travel after h1b approval, had any effect on my h1b start date on oct 1st?

please clarify

Re: question on h1b start date

If you last entered the US on your F-1 visa and your I-94 card for your F-1 visa was issued after the I-94 card attached to your H-1B approval notice, then you will need to exit the country to get an H-1B visa stamp in your passport and enter with the H-1B visa in order to be in status.
