Legal Question in Immigration Law in New Jersey

Status Relief

If a person has been in the United states since they were 2 years of age, living in the united states for 18 years, has never left the country to visit his homeland or family, he has completed all years of school up until and including Senior year, speaks English fluently (better than his ''native'' language) and pays his taxes. Does he have any relief at all to adjust his status being that he is only 20 years of age now?? I would greatly appreciate an answer to this question, thank you very much.

Re: Status Relief

This is a very broad question and the answer depends on a case by case basis. There are some people who ARE able to adjust their status, while there are others that are not. There are many factors to take into account in deciding whether you can adjust your status or not, including your manner of entry and whether you have any relatives in the United States who are U.S. citizens or green card holder.

Best wishes!
