Legal Question in Immigration Law in New Jersey

Travel on the day after US citizenship interview -

My interview is on 18th Dec and I am traveling outside the US on 19th Dec. Newark USCIS is the office and it appears from reading the blogs that Newark offers same day oath ceremony. Are the same day oaths mandatory? One needs to submit their green card which disables overseas travel.

I am very concerned. Please advise

You also need to apply for a US passport - you can request expedited processing of the passport. You are likely going to need to change your travel schedule. If you have a true emergency you may be able to discuss securing the oath in time to submit the passport application.
