Legal Question in Insurance Law in New Jersey
Dropped from Insurance due to Snake?
Is there any law which would protect a homeowner with a mortgage from being dropped by a homeowner insurance company, for owning a snake purchased at a retail, domestic animal store? This company also has a reputation for being bad with this, especially after having a claim, as in this case. Could this just be an excuse they are using to drop the person in reference from their policy?

Check the policy for exclusions. Some companies do not permit those typoe of pets as they are considered increased risks
