Legal Question in Insurance Law in New Jersey
I was insured through progressive for car insurance. My policy ended march 17th. For some reason I thought that my policy ended on feb 17 so I got a new policy with esurance. I had gotten into an accident on march 8. Esurance took care of the situation and made sure that I wasn't insured with progressive. Esurance had told me that I did have an insurance w progressive and they refused to pay for anything. I bought a car on March 22 and had to change insurance to progressive due to work situation. I renewed it instead of getting a new policy. I called progressive because I ended up paying for the month I was with esurance and progressive refused to pay for the accident. They told me they would only refund me for part of the coverage. Which was 1/4 of what I paid for. I don't know what I could do. I want my money back. Please help!

You paid TWO insurance copanies to cover you and NEITHER ONE will pay for the accident?
You may get sued by the other folks involved in the accident, and I have no idea how much money they may demand.
You may have damage to your car which is not paid for.
I do not know what other problems you may have.
You really need a lawyer to look this over and FORCE the insurance companies to figure out who should pay for this and cover you. NO is not an acceptable answer.
