Legal Question in Insurance Law in New Jersey
Liability Exposure to Employees
My position is Chief Operating Officer. My company is in default of it's professional liability coverage. Despite my protests, the Pres/CEO has directed me to continue to bid and perform work (asbestos/Lead/HAZMAT). I am exposing myself presonnally to litigation by continuing to perform environmental consulting work? Please advise.

you may. It depends on the type of claim. In any event, if you are sued you will need to hire a lawyer and that will cost you money. So either way, without insurance yo are definetly being exposed

You could face exposure for certain acts and that is what the insurance is usually bought to protect against.
