Legal Question in Insurance Law in New Jersey
Settle car accident without involving insurance
I accidently hit a car. Caused less than $100 damage. I personally going to pay for the car repair. What statement should I put on the check to ensure the claim is closed to further repair requests?

I practice in Maryland and notations upon a check are insufficient to relieve you of further property claims. You may consider having more than one appraisal of the damage. Contact an New Jersey attorney should you need assistance as jurisdiction lies where the collision occurred.
