Legal Question in Intellectual Property in New Jersey

SEO contract services dispute

I contracted with an SEO firm to optimize my web site for better search engine rankings. I found out after I signed with them that they are a very shady company and use unethical SEO methods. Their local BBB does not recommend them due to the amount of unresolved disputes. I'm not asking for a refund, but don't want to use their services. They put up a doorway site that they claim is ethical. My home page content, logo and background is copied here, and they've added dark anchor links at the bottom that blend in with the background. This is totally unethical and they claim that this is a subjective opinion. I asked them to remove all references to my site, my personal name and company name from this site. They told me this is their plan and there's nothing I can do about it as I authorized them to perform SEO services for me. Am I forced to accept whatever they choose to do? I'm in NJ, they're in Las Vegas.

Re: SEO contract services dispute

The first step would be to review the agreement you signed with this SEO firm to determine what your rights are. I could then advise you what your options are.
