Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey
Driver gave two weeks notice a few months ago right before mother's day to get more hours and raise. Then decided to keep working when I asked after two weeks. On June 30, he slammed van door on his hand, out on worker's comp for six weeks. Now saying he may be out for another four weeks. My business is suffering, what are my rights as employer? Can I hire a new driver to save my business and let him go since I cannot afford to have two drivers.
