Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey
My employee stated that he is resigning he gave two weeks notice,verbally, we let him go early. "keeping employees after they resign has not worked out well for us. now he is saying we fired him, we just accepted his resignation early, please advise.

If you paid him for the two weeks with benefits and simply told him not to come into work, then he left work voluntarily. If you terminated him early without pay, they he left work involuntarily.
