Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey
Employer gave me 4 weeks to attend to my spouse in icu for a traumatic brain injury, I called before last week was up to get part time so im out early enough to be home for my 3 children..she said no either I work full time or not at all but thats my descision and when I make that decision she will send me legal paperwork..she mailed my last pay check and last vacation day..she also said that I have to think about my kids too that she can not have me calling out again if someone is sick or injured. I tried unemployment but she tried to fight that too..but they asked if she gave leave of absence she said I gave a month they said no leave of absence thru state and she said no. Is this all legal and what is leave of absence if its small business?
