Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

Am I entitle to sue

I got this job in working in Nj. and later tranfering to Fla. The pay was suppose to be the same in Fla. as in Nj.

But after Putting my house in the market and making all the arragements to move my family and my self to Fla.

they told me that the pay would be lowered do to the fact that I would'nt be doing sales in Fla. but they failed to tell me before I sold my house and put a down pament on apartment in fla.

I lost some money in the apartmnent deal and I have to pay the people who were buying my house to brerak the deal.

Can I sue my ex bosses?

Re: Am I entitle to sue

Often you can recover your damages if you can show that you reasonably relied on the promises of someone else (in this case, your employer) and because of that reliance, you incurred costs or damages.

Your situation is largely fact-specific, so any letters or memos or emails that your employer sent to you in connection with the original hire and the transfer to Florida are highly important.

Your employer may have covered their bases by stating that your compensation would not remain constant or something to that effect. If you wish to further discuss your situation, please call me at 215-540-2633. Thank you in advance.
