Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey
I am the first and only female mechanic at a glass house that has been open for 28 years. I work very hard and go beyond my calls. I help where ever needed. Lately they moved our department and my co-workers built it closed in because the heat we were in was about 110%. We have been in this area for about 2 years now and over my weekend they cut a very large window to the office and my boss said, "You have Cindy to thanks for this!" I have no clue why. I have never been involved with any man here, I do my job and go home. I do not bring my problems home to work or work to home. I work shift work and my days off and shift changes every week. My co-worker is on vacation for 2 weeks and the next 4 days I have to work 3pm to 3am and these people don't like me because they think this is my fault due to my boss stating this to people but not me. Can he slander me like that?
