Fired after working 23 years

I had a liver transplant 5 years ago and 2 years i go i started having problems with new liver so a missed work alot i ask my boss if i should go out on disability and he said just do the best you can 1 week later i was let go is this legal

If the reason for your termination was because of the fact that you are disabled, then it would be against the law to fire you. However, if your employer was solely motivated to reduce jobs because of the economic crisis we are in, then firing you would be considered a legitimate non-discriminatory business reason. What additional facts do you have that would lead a jury to believe that you were terminated due to your disability?
