Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

The general manager of the restaurant I work in recently told that I couldn't train behind the bar, saying that I was not old enough. I'm twenty seven years old, legally I'm old enough, so I was surprised to hear him actually say that. Is it plausible that I could take my employer to court for age discrimination?
