Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

Health Benefit

My husband just retired for a Municipality. In his contract, it says that we are to ''maintain the same level of health benifits after he retires''. They are now claiming that it excludes dental. What does ''same-level'' include?

Re: Health Benefit

I think you should bring the documents that you have to a lawyer for review. There is a good chance that a court would interpret "health benefits" to include dental if that had been included with the pre-retirement benefits. Don't rely on what the municipality or their insurer tell you. They have an interest opposite to yours.
