Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

I just left my old job, where I was the branch manager of a mortgage company. I supplied everything 5-Desks high end style, total of 16 chairs, 2-6ft steel case file cabnets, Fax Machine, phones, Scanner, Laser Color printer, computers with flat screens and wireless mouse and keyboard, router, and ALL the supplies. (including the toilet paper and the holder) The owner ONLY put in a Water cooler, Fridge, Shredder, and coffee supplies and recently started to buy the paper. Mind you that this is NOT a net branch, so when I left naturally I took my stuff.
Oh and of course I paid to have it brought in and set it up, and when i gave him a bill for the computer guy to install the miscrosoft office and virus protection and set up the router, he said that's not my stuff, it's your office. So I paid for it. Hell I even paid to have the signage on the window with the Logo and all the Company Info.
But now he wants me to return all the stuff, or he is going to the local police and filing a report so he can give it to the NMLS and to the NJ dept of banking to have me lose my License and possibly get arrested. And Yes I did leave all the files that pertained to the company in brand new, just bought Bankers Box. I only moved because my pay has been screwed-up since sept of last year, and he has been holding my entire commission check to pay a total of 43K-45K to offset 36.5K salary that turned into advancements plus as of June he had not taken the Federal exam for the NMLS, which was suppose to be completed by April 15 2010. Plus the new company seems to be a much better. What should I do? All the stuff is in storage right now.
I would love advice from an Attorney who has knowledge of Banking and Employment Law, Because he has had at least 25+ employees leave since I have been there for 1.5yr, 5-7 Underwriters, 7-9 Processors and at least 4-5 Bookkeepers and countless Loan Officers. Nobody has left Happy.

You may need more than one lawyer. For now, you need a criminal defense lawyer and you need one today as he is looking to press charges against you. Once you get that taken care of, then you can worry about whether or not you need another lawyer. Call me anytime at 732/773/2768 to discuss further.
The underlying question is not a banking issue. It is more a business operation and contract issue. The first line of inquiry is to confim the relationship that you had the owner had when the office was set up and to gather the evidence of ownership that you have in the office furniture, etc. If you can prove ownership, the other matters should fall into line. /p/ My firm handles matters of this type, however the efficiencies in this matter may be influcenced by your lawyer's location. You have to fight him, to get your money and to keep your equipment. If he files criminal charges, you will have to fight that. If he files criminal charges and you can PROVE that you bought the items and own them, then you can go after him for filing false charges.
He may have done this kind of thing before, if what you say is correct.
