Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

my husband has to have knee replacement surgery soon but his company has been laying off people consistently. we are afraid he may be laid off if he takes time off for surgery and recovery. if they do lay him off does he have any rights to fight it?

If your husband is laid off it is very likely that he will lose his health & medical benefits after the expiration of COBRA (employee paid benefits on job elimination).
