Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey
Very important question. I had a direct deposit into my account of a few thousand dollars by a former employer I haven't worked with in over a year. The money has been in my account for over a month, but I haven't touched it. If I were to take the money and close the account, what legal ramifications could the former employer take if they were to catch the accounting error?

Are you seriously asking a bunch of lawyers how is the best way to steal money that you do not have any right to keep?
Call them, tell them. Maybe they will thank you.
