Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey
On the Job Auto Accident
My husband was on his way from his office to a meeting when he was in an auto accident. Nobody else was involved (a large piece of concrete was on the road and he wasn't able to miss it.) Is he covered under his companies auto insurance policy or does our personal auto insurance have to cover it? Driving to/from meetings in his personal car is a requirement of the job.

Re: On the Job Auto Accident
Primarily, your husband is eligible for coverage under his Worker's Compensation insurance through his employment. That will take care of all his medical bills, and will offer him temporary disability if he is out of work, and eventually a "permanency" award.
Depending on who is responsible for the concrete in the middle of the road, he may also have a "third party" action against that person/entity, or may even have an uninsured motorist claim.
Please call me to discuss these matters.
I hope he is feeling better.
